The project aims to enhance a main existing visual axis—the cardo maximus—which runs through the Pavaglione and terminates at the Rocca, as well as several secondary sightlines.
The first of these secondary axes, parallel to the cardo maximus, begins at the public parking area, crosses the triple-height hall and the inner courtyard of the Rocca, continues through Piazza Baracca, the Pavaglione, Piazza Trisi, and reaches the Carmine cloister.
The second axis starts from the commercial gallery within the building designed by Arch. Vaccaro, runs longitudinally through the Pavaglione via its two main entrance arches, and connects to the cultural hub formed by the Rossini Theatre and the Trisi Library.
