Casalgrande, a settlement characterized by features typical of the post-war city, must first seek its new identity through the spatial reconfiguration of its central places, followed by the new architectures facing them.
In agreement with the competition brief, we believe it is essential first to create the “sense of place,” and only then to give expression to its individual aspects.
From this perspective, our primary focus has been on the proportions of the rooms in this hypothetical new common home for the people of Casalgrande.
